Since 1995 the Rattray family have been carefully hand-selecting potatoes grown on their certified organic Anchor Farm at Pyengana in Tasmania’s North East Highlands, for distribution to discerning customers nationwide.
As demand for their product has grown they have found that the majority of their crops are being sold to conventional markets where it is actually requested that the packaging does not include reference to the organic status.
Market forces have driven Anchor Farm to diversify to grow not just certified organic produce at their Anchor Rd farm, but also conventional potatoes and swedes at their new farm, The Powers, using sensible methods that combine the benefits of conventional farming with the best of organic principles that aid fertility and harness true nutrition and flavour!

DUTCH CREAM
The king of yellow flesh potatoes. Medium waxiness, great all-purpose, pre-boil for delicious chips and baking. The Dutch Cream is an oval, golden-yellow potato with buttery golden-yellow flesh. They are delicious mashed, baked or steamed in their jackets.
KENNEBEC
Kennebec are widely used for the purposes of producing potato chips. Though their best virtues are displayed through frying methods, they are a universal potato. They can be baked, mashed, roasted, or made into scalloped potatoes.
KING EDWARD
Traditional all-purpose variety fit for a king! Cream flesh, bake, mash, boil and jacket roast.
NICOLA
Fast cooking, creamy yellow flesh, ideal mashed or steamed for salad.
ROYAL BLUE
Royal Blue is an excellent all purpose potato that has a high dry matter, making it suitable for both French fries and as a table potato. It is also an excellent tasting potato.
MOZART
Oval and very uniform shaped potatoes with distinct yellow eyes and an attractive sunrise red skin with yellow flesh. Excellent table quality and taste, with no darkening following cooking, Suitable for mashing & baking.
GEM RUSSET
Traditional all-purpose variety fit for a king! Cream flesh, bake, mash, boil and jacket roast.
CARISMA (low GI)
Fast cooking, creamy yellow flesh, ideal mashed or steamed for salad.
